This is why number one priority for most business is to eliminate people.
Ironically, if every business did so, they wouldn't have any customers either.

We have a dotcom of 6 people, and despite our ultra-lean profile it still costs a lot to run. We've blown through well into the 6 digits in less than 9 months.
You'd also be surprised how expensive keeping ALL of your software legal really is! :)
I'm certain that regardless of the economic climate you'll land on your feet, with hopefully little more than frazzled nerves!
