Not allowing Democrats and Republicans candidates on the Texas ballot sounds like Chicago politics.
Re: the economy lately and the housing bubbles, I think those are signs that high schools should have mandatory financial planning and financial market classes. It might put some licensed financial planners out of business and wouldn't necessarily stop all these types of disasters, but it would probably be the best step for the American economy.
