Yeah, that's my interpreation of the second strip, Nick. In love or at least with a big crush. (So to speak.)

There's another Arlo and Janis I hope to find that I thought I saved, where he says

As I get older, I don't enjoy the same things I once enjoyed.
But I enjoy new and different things!

I just don't enjoy them as much as I used to enjoy the things I no longer enjoy.
