"Insanely grateful", I think. But I feel so sorry for this happening to you. And, no, don't purposefully leave the car unlocked. By having to break the window, the idiots were rushed, and maybe that's why they missed the 2 laptops. Otherwise, they could have rummaged through at their leisure. Doesn't MA have some kind of special window replacement insurance coverage?
