wars, rumors of war, etc
What about that pro football player who beat up some nerd with a laptop at a Denny's? Did he experience any consequences for that?

Yikes, hadn't heard much about that: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2419713
If he's guilty I hope they throw his nerd-hating ass in jail.
Love this quote: "I was pretty down this morning because of the situation."

What building a computer has to do with sexual capabilities is beyond me. (Was beyond me although I could build a computer, but marriage allows for lots of practice and experimentation.)
As much as I believe Israel has a right to exist and thus to defend itself, I can't support their current actions against Lebanon. Never-the-less peace will never come to the mideast until the overwhelming majority of people living in that area are willing to let bygones be bygones and defend their former enemies when their former friends try to do them harm.

It's strange that building that fell on all the civilians in Lebanon, fell 8 hours after the IDF airstrike.

And the hugh banner of Condi was up a few hours after the building fell from an explosion.

Then Hezbollah line is they don't launch rockets from civilian villages but IDF has video.

It appears Hezbollah is winning the propaganda war.

Hey Kirk, I saw not one, but to Dopplegangers of you this weekend in L.A. Once in West Hollywood at a Bakery, and once in Santa Monica at Whole Foods. (also where I had my first real celebrity siting, Suger Rae Leonard! Buying Groceries! Celebrities are Just Like US!). I thought nothing of the first doppleganger, but when the second guy shared an elevator with me, less than 24 hours later, I was like, Whoa! Dude! (californean for 'what an amazing coincidence') Your Californian twins looked like hip, but not too trendy, healthy guys.

You think that a Revenge of the Nerds remake is unnecessary?
Get this:
http://imdb.com/title/tt0418068/
It's a new Police Academy movie. Original cast, not a remake. Everyone's there except Sgt. Eugene Tackleberry, since the actor passed away several years ago.

Curious logic by the cops on that football player arrest: "Police said Manning was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon despite not being armed because he was aided by companions, and because great bodily force was used."
I'm pretty sure that assault without a deadly weapon is still a serious crime, especially when circumstances are weighed by a jury and judge.

Erin, did you intentionally post the doppleganger comment twice? If you did, that was pretty clever.
As for Israel, any other country in the Middle East and any other country in the Middle East, those people really need to learn how to stop escalating things and deal with stuff like reasonable people. Then again, I can't do it with my family despite my trying, so I can kind of understand where they're all coming from.

For the longest time, I had thought that character actor David Morse was the actor who played Sgt. Tackleberry. He's not, but he looks enough like David Graf, IMO, that he could play the part of a middle-aged Tackleberry. He'd have to act against his usual understated type, though.
