We use java RDP (Elusiva) for our non-Windows remote users. I'm courius how the new HOB release will work for those of us already implementing javaRDP. Would it benefit us at all to switch? Especially with the new price tag? Or is it basically doing the same thing we have setup already, just prepackaged for those who don't want to go through the time and process of setting Proper/Elusiva JavaRDP up?FYI we're running 7.0R1Re: VNCWe have had a few occassions where we needed access to resources via VNC and have actually implemented this for our admins using the embedded java viewer (we use ultravnc). We added a web bookmark pointing to the VNC host & port (by default 5800). Obviously if you have a large number of devices to connect to you can write and host a simple javascript applet to prompt the user for the device number before connecting. Not the most elegant or best solution by any means, but a method to get our users connected on devices that we can only support using VNC.
