Marketing (shock and awe or otherwise) is gelarelny considered more costly than PR. Like you point out; with the audacity of much of the marketing out now the cost soon eclipses any sort of ROI (both fincially and spiritually). It used to be a church would say this isn't your parents church and would gain a lot of attention, now churches are doing sex challenge series to draw people in oh Ed Young JR how I loath thee
