I agree with your gripe re: install date.

In order to get that information, though, I usually look for the folder creation date wherever the program is stored.

Which is also annoying that there's no clear way to see what directory it's installed to from that dialog.

Man, really glaring defeciencies in UI bug the living hell out of me.
