Speaking of hot 30-year-old nerds (or something?), Felicia Day is awesome http://comicrelated.com/graphics/people/felicia_day.jpg
I thought the second comic was cute, assuming I understood it properly (they were in love and were using football as an excuse to be close to each other, but neither realised that the other was doing it?)

Yeah, that's my interpreation of the second strip, Nick. In love or at least with a big crush. (So to speak.)
There's another Arlo and Janis I hope to find that I thought I saved, where he says
As I get older, I don't enjoy the same things I once enjoyed.
But I enjoy new and different things!
I just don't enjoy them as much as I used to enjoy the things I no longer enjoy.
