I hate the new BB format. It's hideous, ad-ridden, counterintuitive and unwieldy. Other than that it's great.

I don't mind the ads so much.
It has an agenda that the redesign is probably handling well - the trouble is it's more "lets emphasize how cool we are to casual readers" and less "lets be nice to regular readers keeping up with the site."
I posted about this on a random article, and got back the pretty good suggestion of simple URL hacking: http://boingboing.net/2009/10/26/ for example gets everything for that day in a full non-summary format. Bit of the pain to have to make it from scratch, but not too bad.
