The stock ESC is like that .Switching to a Castle sidewinder will show a huge imrnovemept in that area. You will also be able to do more programming off of it that will allow you to control the draw of the motor and lower temps.The stock shell has a good amount of airflow as it is. The slipstream is a better shell for that with the duct though. See if you can find small metal heat syncs (they sell them at electronic stores for cheap) that will allow more access to cool air for the ESC.
