Years ago my folks decided that giving their kid a place to roller skate was more important that pristine wooden floors, that that was the kind of household they wanted to keep. I think a lot of that feeling rubbed off on me. 99-2-2 --- "The Blues isn't about feeling better-- it's about making other people feel worse." --Bleeding Gums Murphy --- The combination of it being a warm springlike day combined with me randomly picking my teal Bermuda Onion T-shirt to wear is making me think of the Band's 1996 trip to Bermuda. That was such a good time, the warmth, the (chilly) swimming, going around the island, walking to that church, Ballroom dancing with Leah and Lisa and the rest at the Princess, inventing Lemminghood, everyone getting the same Onion T-shirt, the fort, seeing the Macarena before it hit the USA... 99-2-3 --- I like a good time as much as the next guy. I'm just not... the next guy. --Next Stop Wonderland --- I just got cable and I feel like I brought home a big bag of heroin. There's some excitement (oh boy, I'm going to try heroin!) mixed with a lot of fear (wait a minute; I'm going to be a junkie). --http://www.subatomichumor.com --- Who were the Celts, anyway? Some kind of ancient culture. Some kind of ancient *loser* culture. They didn't even build stonehenge -- that was the Druids. Makes me feel less guilty about my slack-a-riffic habits. 99-2-9 --- Joe (handsome and funny design guy here) sounds very different in e-mail than he does in person. makes me wonder how I come across in e-mail, but I'll never really know, just like the sound of my own voice recorded will always sound weird to me... 99-2-9 --- Too often we take stair railings for granted. We use them and don't even think about them. I guess that's an example of good design. 99-2-9 --- Had a lot of dreams the other night, probably because of all the stress at work. One had me joining a swim class, except the first lessons were at this small hot spring basin. It turned out it was attached to a nudist beach, you had to be naked to swim, and the other beachgoers applauded when we decided to be naked on shore. Sarah was one of the undressees, but it wasn't very sexual. I thought the people might be bad at this yellow scented additive the instructor added to the basin. In another dream there was a winking semi-animated statue of Don Quixote sitting on a bench. 99-2-10 --- I don't kill flies, but I like to mess with their minds. I hold them above globes. They freak out and yell "Whoa, I'm way too high!" --Mark Pitta --- Jung says I'm an entp. Mo's a intj. 99-2-12 --- In a dream, It occurs to me that maybe America is so arrogant because we're the only country to put a person on the moon. 99-2-13 --- Waiting for Rob at the Cambridge Brewing Company. There's a very sad first person "I'm lost!" cat missing poster: "I'm Lost! My name is Jerry and I'm a 6yr old gray and white fat cat (25 lbs). I have never been outside before I disappeared this Saturday, but now I'm cold and scared and want to come home. I'm very shy and am probably hiding under a porch.
