I received the biggest gift of the morning, two massive binders compiling everything she had saved from my schooldays. It was a white Christmas (alas) but Boston is still fine. Mo and I have been discussing some of the implications of tying the knot (buzz yikes). It may well happen. It occurs to me that I may only now be really thinking about some of the implications- understanding it as starting a family, even if it's a family of two. (With my mom saying "Gee since you've gone this far, why not just get married?", it's easy to forget how basic a change it represents.) So that's the news in an otherwise quiet KHftCE- Y2K in a few days, thank JFK it's looking as minor as it is- T minus 3 days and no signs of panic. 99-12-28 --- "Words fail me.
