something about atari games w/ extra levels that were jokes, or some kind of fraud- I woke myself up to remember... 97-6-27 --- [[Dreams]] I was working with Mr. T at Camp Happiness or some such. He was living with his parents and was alarmed that they were going to join the army and he'd have to go with them. He claimed he still had millions yet wouldn't talk about some options. We played with lego, and there was this cool gray and light purple piece, a flattened tear drop that you could hook flexi-arm pieces to, part of some new robot line. There was something about a garfield cartoon-they're driving in their car, garfield's quietly bemoaning his lack of a sex life- john asks for joke a second before garfield says "I might take a lover" and john bursts out laughing- bwahaha 97-6-30 --- Rebekah dream. She's going out with this nouveau rich guy in a nice house with fancy electronic closets. she runs his car into a brickwall. We go to an arcade with these younger kids where there's a grover flight sim on a big screen. 97-7-12 --- something about a retro-disco called the s&q, which stands for 'stones and quiet stones'-seemed very deep at the time. 97-7-25 --- a "men-in-black" themed dream (but by a different rpg'd name) to start with- but then I'm in a school- the teacher is the black lawyer from "the practice" (watched before bed) R's in the classroom. I'm mad, storm out, kick a desk in the hallway- it bounces and bounces, in and out of classrooms picking up speed a little. I go back into the classroom where the teacher has a sign saying "guess who R likes" meaning me. I then wondered if that implied the laws of physics had to change for R to like me. 97-8-10 --- there's some kind of new stamp called American Classic with USAn celebs wearing foriegn fashion (e.g. Jerry Seinfeld in an Irish sweater) I'm at some camp but then in NYC singing at some SA kettlers, some gal (short hair, glasses) asks if I'd like to do something afterward "a movie- or cofee- or a movie" I accept. 97-10-1 --- Dave IDD Johnson is on "Whaddya Know" with fantasy island's Tattoo in a white basement studio. 97-10-16 --- Dream with R. We take eachother to bed. But for some reason I fall asleep before getting to touch her- she just touches me. The next morning I awake alone, she's up in a downstairs room. I apologize, but she's unsure if she's going to want to touch again. I pick up a printed copy of an autobiography she's working on. I'm gratified to see my name in it, especially in one chapter named "phantom tollbooth" 97-10-17 --- I'm driving behind a firetruck (that's on fire?) and there's another firetruck coming up behind. Later Bjorn explains something (?- badly written note) 97-10-18 --- At Star Lake camp, oldest Shenk kid gets HIV 97-12-5 --- after shayne's party, dreamt of zine with charts detailing relationships at party 97-12-7 --- dream with parts borrowed from the past day or week: •homemade California rolls (from Charles + Carla's solstice party) but at a hotel banquet •scary dream-in-a-dream ala X-files- I'm dreaming I'm awake in my current bed, then a pink glove starts flying and I get scared 'cause I 'know' I'm awake. •at a (work-related?) flea-market, giant sesame street themed needlework in frames for sale, (inspired by Llara's new 'masterpiece' book)- one has a great big USA flag with a small Grover at one corner. •Mo invented some new random number generator that picks one of several algorithms (we had just been talking VB randomness the Saturday before.) •something at the shore with higher than expected tides. 97-12-22 --- |
